Patient presented with vomiting and was initially thought to be benign. However, because of the persistence of symptoms, in addition to weight loss and dehydration, other conditions were considered.
Colic remains a challenge to both parents and physicians. To date, there are some theories to its etiology e.g., parental anxiety, microbiome disturbances, etc. It is therefore important that reassurance and hand-holding is done with parents during this period.
